Pistons Center Invited To Compete For Spot With USA Basketball World Cup Team
Pistons Center, Andre Drummond has been invited to USA Basketball Training Camp with a chance to be apart of the 2019 World Cup Team.
According to M-Live, Drummond is among 20 NBA Players who will be at camp August 5-9 to compete for a spot on the team.
He has won a medal before, a gold as a member of the 2014 team.
He joins NBA players Anthony Davis, James Harden, Damian Lillard, Kevin Love, Kyle Lowery and Kemba Walker among those to participate in the upcoming camp.
The roster in camp will be pared to 12 players for the World Cup. The World Cup for basketball will be in China, August 31st to September 15th.
The team is set to be coached by San Antonio Spurs head coach, Greg Popovich. He will be joined by assistants Steve Kerr, Lloyd Pierce and Villanova head coach, Jay Wright.
