Detroit Pistons star, Andre Drummond will serve as the Grand Marshall for the June 1st races as part of the Detroit Grand Prix.

According to the Detroit Grand Prix, Drummond will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Indy Car Series race which will be televised on NBC.

He will also ride in the pace car and participate in the pre and post race activities.   Drummond helped lead the Detroit Pistons into the playoffs this season where they were knocked out by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Detroit Grand Prix takes place on Belle Isle in Detroit and will be the weekend of May 31st through June 2nd.

Along with the races that are happening over the weekend,  The Stone Temple Pilots and Frankie Ballard are set to play at the Grand Prix during the weekend.
