Plymouth & Ann Arbor To Host 2020 Men’s U-18 World Hockey Championship
Plymouth, Michigan is home to the USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. Next year Plymouth and Ann Arbor will be host for the IIHF U-18 World Championship.
According to MI Hockey, USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth and the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor will host the championship in 2020.
Many of the players who will be apart of Team USA Under-18 team are based at the USA Hockey Arena.
The developmental program has two teams the under-17 and under-18. The Under-18 team features many of the young up and coming players in the U.S.A. Names like Jack Hughes, Alex Turcotte and Cole Caufield are a few of the top players on the current team.
Jack Hughes is projected as a possible number pick at the upcoming NHL Draft.
Actual dates and team match ups for the tournament will be announced later this year.
