With it being so hot lately, a lot of attention has been given to checking on the elderly and making sure you don't leave children in cars unattended.  But what about leaving a dog in a hot car?  Did you know that there is no law in Michigan against leaving an animal in a vehicle under dangerous weather conditions?According to a story from FOX 2 in Detroit, there is now a bill on the books that's being considered in Lansing making it illegal to leave animals unattended in a vehicle under certain conditions.  Right now it's not a crime but id the bill passes it would be a felony and carry prison time for a year if the animal is injured and 5 years if the animal dies.  For many people their pet is just like any other member of the family and the loss would be as great.  For more information on this story click HERE.
