Red Wings Great To Host Charity Celebrity Softball Games In August

Detroit Red Wings Great, Joe Kocur is hosting a day of charity celebrity softball that is scheduled for August 24th.

According to the press release, the games will be in Highland, Michigan at Duck Lake Pines Park on August 24th.

The event in the past has featured Red Wings players from the current roster and players from the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association.

Names like Joe Kocur, Kris Draper, Darren McCarty, Kirk Maltby from the Alumni and Tyler Bertuzzi, Jimmy Howard, Dylan Larkin and others from the current roster have played in the event.

Along with current and former players, the event has featured Detroit area celebrities like Comedian Dave Coulier, Jeff Daniels, Former Tigers Pitcher Dave Rozema, Brian Vander Ark from the Verve Pipe and more.  Many of the celebrities who have played in past years are returning again to play in the 2019 event.

The day will feature three 7 inning games and will benefit multiple children's charities.  Tickets for the event are on sale now here. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 the day of the event.
