The Detroit Lions have sent three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay (pictured) to the Philadelphia Eagles for a pair of 2020 draft choices, according to media reports.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it is a 3rd and a 5th round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.  He'll reportedly get a three-year contract extension with the Eagles.  He had one year left on his original deal with Detroit.

Slay complained last offseason about being underpaid and made public his desire for a new contract.  And he was also very public about his disdain when the Lions traded safety Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks during the 2019 season.

Slay had a pair of interceptions in the 2019 season.  He led the NFL in interceptions in 2017 with 8, and he has 19 career interceptions since he joined the Lions in 2013 out of Mississippi State.
