Having family in town is stressful in the most relaxed of years, but 2020 has added a whole new level of pressure to hosting a holiday weekend. Keeping the fam busy used to mean catching a movie, going shopping, or taking in a museum. But with restrictions in place, you might be wondering just what to do with the little ones this Thanksgiving weekend. Why not have them make their very own sand candle creation?

Kalamazoo Candle Company is hosting a very creative (and very socially distanced) candle creation event Friday, November 27th from 10:00am to 5:00pm at their location along the Kalamazoo Mall. They will set you up with everything your candle creator will need to make a sand candle, including the glass container, a wide variety of wax sand, fragrances to choose from, wick, and expert help along the way, all for $10. This would make a unique teacher's gift or a treasured addition to grandma and grandpa's collection of their favorite grandchild's art.

Space will be limited, as the people at Kalamazoo Candle Company will be making sure that social distancing is followed, so leave yourself a little extra time to wait in line. Can't make it Friday? No problem! Kalamazoo Candle Company will host these curbside candle clinics Wednesdays and Fridays through the end of the year. Click here for dates, times, and more information.
