This Small Business Saturday, Rocket Fizz in Kalamazoo has decided to give back to the community that has supported them for the nearly three years they've been on The Mall. They've teamed up with the Animal Rescue Project for "Small Business Wagger-Day," and 10% of all sales on Saturday, November 28th will go to help dogs and cats in the Kalamazoo Area find their forever homes.

In a statement, Rocket Fizz co-owner Tom Holmer said, quote:

We really wanted to give back to the community and we see no better time to do it than on one of our busiest days of the
year. The Animal Rescue Project is such a wonderful organization, and we are very excited to partner with them!”

Holmer's family knows the joys of pet ownership very well, so the partnership was a no-brainer. I asked him about his beloved furry members of the family, and he said, "Our dogs are such a big part of our lives and bring us such joy on a daily basis. Being able to connect families with rescue dogs so they can experience this same joy means so much to us."

The Animal Rescue Project will use the funds raised from Rocket Fizz for food, veterinary care, and general maintenance of their facilities while they seek permanent homes for the animals in their temporary care. With help from the community, they have been able to home 750 pets every year since opening in 2010. A quick stop in to Rocket Fizz on Small Business Saturday for one-of-a-kind treats and wacky stocking stuffers could help some furry friends find a warm, loving home just in time for the holidays.
