Late last year items from the Joe Louis Arena went up for auction.   As the calendar changes over to May, the seats from the old arena in Detroit are now up for sale.

According to the story from M-Live,  the seats from the old arena that was the home to the Detroit Red Wings are now for sale.

Red Wings season ticket holders will have the first chance at the seats with the general public sale to begin on May 12th.

If you are a collector or just want a memory of the old arena the seats will cost $300 for a set of two( $150 a piece).

If you want a specific seat you can pay an extra $100 to purchase the specific ones you want.

The sale is taking place online at The Joe Seats dot com.  The site also has more details on the seat sale.

Other items that remain from the arena are set to be sold off this month such as furniture, signs and the old scoreboard at two separate sites, Orbitbid and rlevyinc.

The Joe was home to the Red Wings and hosted concerts and events from 1979 until it closed last year.  The Red Wings moved across town to the Little Caesars Arena this past season, where they missed the playoffs for the second straight year.
