If you know when to hold them, well you are going to have to hold them bets a little longer if you plan on betting on sports at two area casinos.

It has been the talk of the past year, yes even during a pandemic, one thing that has been a buzz amongst all that has been going on, has been sports gambling at Michigan casinos.

According to WOOD, there are nine casinos in Michigan that are up for sports betting that is set to begin this Friday but unfortunately it won't be Gun Lake Casino or Firekeepers Casino.

All casinos that have applied for the sports betting and online gambling have to be approved by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

The MGCB are wanting to make sure that there is solid identity protection, cyber security and geolocation. These steps are all a part of the person gambling's financial safety along with a variety of gambling protocols that are issued by the state gaming board. One big thing the board looks for is to know exactly where a bet is coming from.

So far Gun Lake Casino and Firekeepers Casino have been going through the process but will not have it completed by Friday's rollout of online gambling and sports betting. As of right now, one of the two casinos is close to completion and should start soon after Friday's rollout.

If you are looking to place some bets on this weekends football games, you will want to try Motor City Casino in Detroit who work with Fan Duel or you can try Bay Mills Casino in the Upper Peninsula who have partnered with Draft Kings.

Online gambling seems to be the way of the future for casinos who are trying to get younger people to get involved who normally do not frequent casinos. Plus there is a huge convenience to being able to gambling right from your phone. Not to mention you are pretty safe from COVID-19 betting from your own couch.
