Civil War

This past weekend I took a trip down to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to visit family and while I was there I visited the Stones River National Battlefield.

An odd object was recently found at the bottom of Gull Lake. What is it? The best guess is a Civil War era grenade. So just how did it get to Southwest Michigan?

The state of Michigan holds in its archives many of the battle flags carried by Wolverine-based regiments in the Civil War, except for the 26th - until now.
