After a slow start it looked like Red Wings youngster Michael Rasmussen was going to be sent back to juniors.  After playing in his 10th game it looks like he is here to stay.

The way the year has gone so far for the Wings it has been great to see a few of the younger players in the lineup.    Michael Rasmussen was a question mark for the team because he could be sent back to Juniors if he wasn't ready.

Just you when you thought the team would move him down he has had good back to back games against Dallas and Columbus.    The Columbus game featured him scoring his first career NHL goal which you can see here.

He is still learning and I'm sure will have an off night here and there, but I am glad the Red Wings think he needs to stay up to develop in the NHL.

The Red Wings maybe bad but it will be an interesting year to watch the progress of the young guys especially Rasmussen and Dennis Cholowski.
