Happy Birthday to the co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green.   On his 73rd birthday I remember the first time I heard one of his classics, "The Supernatural".

Peter Green was a co-founder of Fleetwood Mac and was also a member of John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers.

I became aware of Peter Green back when I first got into radio.  I was given a blues show and was told by a listener that I needed to get a hold of the original Fleetwood Mac albums.

We didn't play any of his music other than a few songs from a Gary Moore album called, "Blues For Greeny". The album was a tribute to Peter Green.

I picked up the first couple of Fleetwood Mac albums and became a fan.  I also discovered that he played on an album with John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers called, "A Hard Road".

The album featured his instrumental, "The Supernatural".   It is my favorite song of his and one of those songs that is a go to when you listen to his music.

He was inducted with Fleetwood Mac into the Rock Hall in 1998.  A British guitar great that deserves to be up there with the best guitarist from the late 60's and early 70's.

Go back and listen to the early Fleetwood Mac albums along with his one album with John Mayall, they are all classic British rock and blues.
