Trees For Troopers

Brian Morga from Mattawan Landscaping Supply stopped by to give us the details on a really cool opportunity to get a Christmas Tree, have some family fun and meet & help our Michigan State Troopers in the area.  Trees for Troopers is this Sunday from 1-4 at Mattawan Landscaping Supply 26333 Red Arrow Hwy in Mattawan.  Along with the Troopers, Santa and live reindeer will be there too.  Check out all the details...

Mattawan Landscape Supply holding fundraiser Sunday December 6^th benefitting MSP’s Shop with a Cop program and local families in need

The new Mattawan Landscaping Supply business, 26333 Red Arrow Highway, announces their first fundraiser on December 6^th, from 1-4PM, benefitting two worthy causes. For co-owners Brian Morga and Russ Sullins, it’s all about the community! A portion of all Christmas tree sales on this day will be given to the MSP’s Shop With a Cop program, and Mattawan Landscaping supply has created a special “Santa’s Mailbox” where local individuals or families in need can submit “letters to Santa.”

“If anyone knows of a family that is in special need of assistance this year, all we need is a letter written, explaining their needs, with their address and phone number on the letter.” These “letters to Santa,” expressing a family’s needs, can be dropped off at Mattawan Landscaping Supply, or mailed to their address by December 6^th. A family can self-nominate, or someone else can nominate a family. These “letters to Santa” will be “answered” by local families at the December 6th fundraiser, so all families or individuals willing to help are asked to come and pick up a “letter from Santa’s mailbox.”. To submit a letter of need to “Santa’s Mailbox,” hand deliver or mail it to Mattawan Landscaping Supply, 26333 Red Arrow Hwy, Mattawan, MI, 49071 by December 5^th.

Brian Morga, co-owner, is passionate about “helping local families help each other.” He is also thankful for the Michigan State Police, and wants to provide an opportunity for people to thank them and honor their service by donating to the “Shop with a Cop” program. “I am sure local families are also thankful for what the Michigan State Police do every day! Donating a portion of Christmas tree sales on Dec 6^th will help us show how much we appreciate them!”
