Will We See A Detroit Red Wings Player At The NHL All Star Game?
The NHL is opting out of the Winter Olympics for this year which means we will get an All Star Game. The game this year is in Tampa will we see a Red Wings Player on the roster?
According to the NHL, no Red Wings player was voted in as a captain. The captains were named recently for the four divisions and they are Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, P.K. Subban and Connor McDavid.
No surprise for those four being voted on by the fans. They will lead the 4 division teams in the game. The question now is will we see any Red Wings players make the roster? The last couple of years saw Dylan Larkin and Frans Nielsen make the team.
Dylan Larkin has a good chance to make it to the game once again. I hope he does so he can defend his title as the fastest skater that he won back in 2016.
Anthony Mantha leads the team in goals but he has been hurt recently. Jimmy Howard has been an all star in the past but is he one of the top goaltenders in the league?
My guess Dylan Larkin will return to the All Star game for the Red Wings. We should find out when the rosters are announced on January 10th.
The NHL All Star game will be in Tampa on January 28th.
Which Red Wings player do you think will make the team?
