Youth Audition Workshop for Civic Kalamazoo's Elf the Musical

The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre's holiday show for the 2019-2020 season is Elf the Musical. Based on the 2003 Will Ferrell movie, follow Buddy as he ventures away from the North Pole to find his real father in New York City. This is a fantastic opportunity for youth ages 9 to 15 to get involved in theatre! A youth audition workshop for Elf will be held Sunday, August 11th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the Carver Center. You will learn the music and dance number that will be required at the auditions, as well as receive feedback and coaching from the Musical Director of the show. This is a great way to shake off some of those pre-audition nerves, and is a perfect introduction to what is expected at auditions for new-comers. Plus, you'll have time between the workshop and the auditions to brush up on the sides (sections from the script), and rehearse your audition pieces. If your children have always wanted to be part of the theatre, now's their chance to get involved!
