The Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons will call Little Caesars Arena home, but there will be other sporting events that will be showcased at the new arena as it opens up.

Little Caesars Arena will host the first WWE event in the new arena with  Hell In A Cell on October 8th.  This event will feature the superstars of Smackdown and will be the first time the WWE Superstars appear in the new arena.   Tickets for Hell In A Cell are on sale now at Ticketmaster.

December 2nd will see the stars of UFC invade the new arena as UFC 218 will take place in Detroit.   Ticket details have not yet been announced.

College Basketball is set to be featured in a couple of events.  First Little Caesars Arena will host Michigan vs. Detroit Mercy and Michigan State vs. Oakland in the District Detroit college basketball showcase.   This event will be on December 16. The arena will also host first and second round games for the NCAA tournament March 16 through 18.  Tickets for the District Detroit Showcase are on sale now at Ticketmaster.    Tickets for the NCAA tournament games to be announced at a later date.


 

2013 NCAA Division I Men's Hockey Championships

As the Red Wings move to Little Caesars Arena,  The Great Lakes Invitational hockey tournament will also make the move across town.   This is the annual college hockey event that features Michigan, Michigan State and Michigan Tech.  They also feature a fourth team that is invited to play.  The event usually takes place the week in between Christmas and New Year's Day.   Dates and ticket details have not been announced.
