Kid Rock hasn't necessarily been making any new friends on social media the last few months. The Romeo, MI based singer born Robert Richie has been making headlines over his supposed future senate run. All those rumors were squashed this morning when he joined the Howard Stern Show.

Mockingly joking about it this morning, Richie elaborated:

No, I’m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me?" Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour too. Are you f------ s------- me?

In regards to making the rumor up, he continued:

It’s the worst advice I ever gave myself, but it's been the most creative thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve gotten to see everyone’s true colors.

The Right leaning singer received an over-whelming amount of "boos" at last week's Detroit Pistons home opener at Little Caesar's Arena, while fellow Detroit artist Eminem was welcomed with cheers and applause for his most recent rant on President Trump. Rock doesn't seem phased by this though. His new album "Sweet Southern Sugar" is set to drop November 3rd.

I am all for anyone who has the ability to help others with their social status, but sometimes singers should just stick to what they know. I'm glad Rob decided to choose the later.
