Iconic American Coney Island in Detroit Inspires Custom Vans Shoes
Nothing says I love Michigan more than rocking some red, white and blue American Coney Island vans on your feet.
Vans has teamed up with downtown Detroit's American Coney Island on Lafayette for "Foot the Bill." The FTB program helps support local businesses across the country who have been impacted by the pandemic.

It kicked off last week with limited-edition Vans t-shirts and shoes. The t-shirts sold out in a matter of days, but you can still scoop yourself a pair of shoes.
They're "Custom Old Skool" skateboard shoes for $95. They feature the restaurant's colors, red, white and blue with white stars and Coney dog on them.
The owners of American Coney Island told the Detroit Free Press that the design for the shoes and shirts came from the restaurant's founder, Constantinos (Gust) Keros' journey to America. They also said that the funds from this event will help businesses in the city.
Funds will help pay bills and bring back employees laid off during the pandemic, which caused an 80% decline in business in Detroit. Our business depends on events and people in office buildings, which hasn’t happened in over a year.
If you're hoping to grab a pair of these custom "old skool shoes," you better act quick. Once they're sold out, they're gone. To order a pair of American Coney Island shoes or nominate a business for the "Foot the Bill" visit the Van's website.
