Here's what's going on this week in Kalamazoo!

Monday, September 21st:

Tickets are $45 each (includes gratuity and tax), which will get you five beers with five courses, a beer during the pre-party and selections from the anitpasto platter. For tickets, talk to your server the next time you visit us or call (269) 532-1188.

Tuesday, September 22nd:

  • Two Centuries of Local Brewing with Keith Howard - Washington Square Branch Library, 6:00pm-7:00pm. FREE! Kalamazoo’s thriving local brewing trade is rooted in traditions that date back to the earliest decades of the 19th century. From “Old Joe” and Dorothy Burchnall to George Judge’s Kalamazoo Malt House and George Neumaier’s Cold Stream Brewery, we will explore the history of local brewing from its humble beginnings in the 1830’s until Kalamazoo “went dry” in 1915.

Friday, September 25th:

  • Johnny Lang - State Theater, 8:00pm-11:00pm. $40-$55. Sixteen years ago, at the age of 16, Jonny Lang found incredible success with the release of his major label debut album Lie To Me. Fame does not seem to have impacted him from being the same country farm boy from Fargo, N.D. who got his start in the local clubs of Minneapolis. He survived the passage of youth to adulthood, fell in love, began a family, and in the process passed through the life lessons we all endure. He has a keen sense of what he aims to achieve creatively, what music means to him, and is focused on the impact that his songs bring to the lives of those that encounter his repertoire. For Lang, with the release of Fight For My Soul, he is entering a chapter wherein he has found his true voice.
