Woman Tries To Steal Wine In The Most Unusual Way
A woman in Traverse City has been arrested for stealing a wine bottle and trying to smuggle it in one of her body cavities.
A shocking story has developed recently as a 48-year-old Traverse City woman has been accused of stealing alcohol, first by drinking it without paying for it in the store, and then hiding it in what police say was in one of her body cavities.

There’s only one of two body cavities that she could’ve hidden the wine bottle in, and either one of them would be quite impressive.
This incident occurred over the weekend on the 600 block of W. Front St., according to a report from Up North Live that says a woman went to the liquor store and allegedly took a bottle of Chardonnay, and while employees were trying to stop her, she was able to leave the store, but they couldn’t find the wine bottle.
It wasn't until police arrested the woman that they found the wine bottle during a cavity search.
Now I’ve got a couple of questions regarding this incident:
First off, in what body cavity could a woman possibly fit a wine bottle? Secondly, was it one of those mini Chardonnay bottles? Like one of those small Sutter Home or Barefoot bottles? The actions that were reported don’t sound like the actions of someone who is only trying to steal a little bit of wine, which has me even more curious as to how she was able to pull this off.
Ultimately, she wasn’t able to get away with it as she’s being charged with two counts of retail fraud and one count of smuggling, along with one charge of trespassing.
