One of the most fun and interactive pre-historic experiences that has been a major part of the Detroit Zoo for years is coming back for 2022, as Dinosuaria stampedes its way back to Southfield, from May 28th until September 5th. The announcement was made recently on the Detroit Zoo's Facebook:

Adventure awaits at the Detroit Zoo this summer with the return of Dinosauria, presented by Michigan First Credit Union. This immersive walk-through experience will take you back in time to a world of prehistoric wonder as you journey through a lush and winding trail with incredible sights at every turn. Dinosauria features 29 life-like animatronic dinosaurs, including a towering, 65-foot-long Brachiosaurus.

Included in the animatronic walk are multiple fun activities once you reach the end, including multiple hands-on fossil dig sites, a Predator vs. Prey educational exhibit, a chance to get a photo opportunity with a T-Rex (Green Screen), and even the chance to buy Pre-Historic Poo (herbivore compost).
Dinosauria tickets do not include admission to the Zoo. Non-members are still required to purchase admission to the Zoo to attend Dinosauria. These are the ticket prices for the attraction:
  • Children Under 2- FREE
  • Ages 2 & Up- $6
  • Dino Total Experience (2 & Up)- $13 Admission to Dinosauria, one 4-D thatre ticket & one train ride ticket
  • Membership + Dino Pass- Annual membership benefits PLUS unlimited admission to Dinosauria

I've visited Dinosauria in the past and other animatronic Dinosaur experiences throughout the state and it's always a good time. Here are some photos from years ago taken at the Detroit Zoo:
