One of Kalamazoo’s most recognized creative spaces, Dormouse Theatre has officially become a Non-Profit. As of May 6, 2026, ownership of Dormouse Theatre was excited to announce that it has been transferred to the newly established non-profit organization, Dormouse Art Collective (DAC).

Stephen Dupuie, Artistic Director of DAC, and Grace Gheen, President of DAC, both signed the paperwork to make it official as they begin a new direction for the theatre in the hopes of fostering "multimedia and performing arts that inspire conversation, deepen community connections, and drive meaningful change."
