Some of the best gifts are handmade... and if you find yourself not-so-artistically inclined, you might want to leave the DIY to a local artist. Thankfully, there are four great stops this weekend where you can gaze upon their wares and cross a few names off your list.

  • Holiday Art Sale at KIA - Kalamazoo Institute of Art, Friday, December 1 (4pm-8pm) through Saturday, December 2 (9am-3pm). Ceramics, jewelry,  glass, hand-woven scarves, paintings, photographs, metal sculpture - it's all there. So whether you want wearable art, or art in your yard, find one-of-a-kind gifts.
  • Christmas at Wings Art and Craft Show - Wings Event Center, Saturday, December 2 through Sunday, December 3. Doors open at 9am both days, and this event is FREE! Get your ornaments, handmade toys, wreaths, table runners, and everything else you need to create the holliest, jolliest, home for the holidays!
  • Holiday Gifts and Greens Sale - Kalamazoo County Expo Center, - Friday, December 1 (9am-6pm) through Saturday, December 2 (9am to 1pm). Trees, garland, wreaths, poinsettias - all the holiday flora you could ask for is in this one-stop-shop. Admission is free... and I bet its going to smell amazing.
  • Bazaar and Cookie WalkSunnyside United Methodist Church, Saturday, December 2 (9:30am-1pm), Free! Not everyone can be Betty Crocker, so when it comes time to make the treats we all love around the holidays, leave it up to the experts. Give as a gift, or keep for yourself.
