To celebrate the beginning of summer, Comstock Township Parks, Kalamazoo City Parks, Kalamazoo County Parks, and Portage Parks & Recreation have teamed up to offer free admission to all of the parks in the county for Wednesday, June 19, 2019. If you haven’t had the opportunity to explore the great parks our county has to offer, this is your chance. Special activities and giveaways will be available while supplies last and will vary by park. You can also enter for a chance to win a grand prize of either a Kalamazoo County Parks annual pass, a free boat rental at Ramona Park in Portage, Kik Pool passes, along with other assorted goodies.

Special activities will take place at the following participating parks: Robert Morris Park location at 8415 East H Ave, Upjohn Park & Kik Pool located at 1018 Walter St, Ramona Park located at 8600 South Sprinkle Rd, and River Oaks County Park located at 9202 East Michigan Ave. All the other Kalamazoo County Parks (Cold Brook, Markin Glen, Prairie View, and Scotts Mill) will be free on June 19 as well.

Enjoy the day swimming at one of the beaches or at the Kik Pool, let your kids get wet at the River Oaks splash pad, go for a hike, take your dog to the dog park, do some fishing, plan a picnic, play a round of disc golf, or even go camping for a couple nights. All these activities and more are available at the parks. This is a great way to kick off the summer and see all that the area parks have to offer.
