No one should go hungry. That's been the mission of God's Kitchen of Michigan for the last six years. Today, they celebrate their anniversary, and to honor that milestone, they are hosting a special dinner at First Baptist Church in Kalamazoo with a barbecue dinner. From 4:30 to 6:00pm, they are serving up chicken, pork and spare ribs, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, bread, bottled water, and cake. There is no income requirement to participate. Just come hungry.

According to Feeding America, one in seven adults and one in six children in Michigan are food insecure, and hunger doesn't discriminate. There is no one face of hunger. Since October 11th, 2011 God's Kitchen has served over 113,000 meals to low-income, elderly, disabled, homeless, and veterans living in our area. Let's keep that going.
