Is it true that everyone in Michigan will be getting a little gift from Washington DC?

Would that gift be in the form of cash?

Well, maybe, and that is a very big maybe.

All of us could use a little extra cash this time of the year. Actually, anytime of the year!

The question is why and where is this gift coming from?

CBS News.com reported that President Trump would like to send rebate checks to all Americans from all the extra moneys collected from the new higher tariffs.

Well, and here comes the maybe again, he is actually just considering it. He did say that the national debt should be paid down from the extra revenue, but in the same breath he mentioned a rebate for Americans.

There would be some restrictions, however. It probably would be "for people of a certain income level."

So we are all wondering is this just smoke, or is it for real?

Who knows It's Washington, don't you know.

CBS News.com says we have been collecting some hefty tariff money since they were raised, to the tune of $100 billion dollars. With the federal debt going up and up, it would be in everyone's, all Americans, best interest to pay down that debt.
