It's because there are so many gorgeous sights to see within America the Beautiful that Thrillist took the time to definitively ranked each state.

I love the way they came to their decision. Each person came up with their own ranking, after which, they came together and debated about what the final order would be. They compared deserts to mountains, lakes to forests, and everything in between.

Michigan is One of the Most Beautiful States in America

Michiganders know firsthand just how stunning and gorgeous our state is.

There are the crystal clear waters of Kitch-iti-kipi;

the stunning man-made structure of the Mackinac Bridge;

the multi-layered and colored Pictures Rocks;

the shores of any one of our Great Lakes;

or even just driving through the state in the peak of fall leaf colors.

It's because of these reasons and a whole lot more that Michigan ranked supremely high on the list.

Not only is Michigan in the top ten when it comes to the most beautiful states in the nation, but it landed the number eight spot overall!
