Johnny Van Zant is lead vocalist of Lynyrd Skynyrd; the iconic band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 who have sold more than 28 million records in the U.S. and popularized the Southern rock genre with songs such as "Sweet Home Alabama", “What’s Your Name”, and "Free Bird".
Johnny and his brother Donnie make up the duo of Van Zant who have reunited for their first new album in nearly two decades. With the long-awaited new release “Always Look Up”, Van Zant holds firm to their southern rock roots, while dipping their toes into the world of gospel.
Throughout their four decades of climbing the southern rock charts together and separately, faith has stayed just as important of a factor in the equation, so much so that the guys decided to finally share their inspirational side with this new record.
