Another "No Kings" protest is being planned in Kalamazoo at the end of March off Drake Road.

Word has spread that the peaceful protest, which is being organized by Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo (IGK)  is part of a third national day of peaceful protest expected to draw millions into the streets to, as they say, "say that in America we have no kings; power belongs to the people."

The announcement was sent out to local media to bring awareness of this event, and so people are aware of the presence of protesters on the day of the protest:

Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo (IGK) invites the community to join a "No Kings" rally Saturday, March 28, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM along North Drake Road (between KL Avenue and West Main Street). The action is part of a third national day of peaceful protest expected to draw millions into the streets to say that in America we have no kings; power belongs to the people.

Although this is a "No Kings" protest, they welcome participants of any political orientation, as it is a part of our right to protest, but say that peacekeepers will be present to support Indivisible’s commitment to non-violence:

Those attending are encouraged to bring signs and flags, remain on sidewalks, and avoid obstructing traffic. The family-friendly event will also feature a community food drive to help strengthen our local community (bringing an item from the list below to donate to local food banks is encouraged but not required).

As always, remember to stay safe and look out for one another while exercising your rights.
