Kalamazoo Runners to Raise Money for Families of Shooting Victims
Gazelle Sports is holding a special edition of the weekly running group to raise money for the families of victims affected by the Kalamazoo shootings.
- What: Kalamazoo Area Runner's group run
- Where: Gazelle Sports, 214 South Kalamazoo Mall
- When: 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 2
- How Much: As much money as you can raise
Kalamazoo Area Runners' Wednesday night run group, the Urban Herd, is dedicating this week's run to raising money for the fund set up to aid the families of those whose lives were taken a week and a half ago. A "running of the bulls" event is planned, with representatives from several shoe companies chasing everyone down.
Although the event is free and open to the public (no Kalamazoo Area Runners membership is needed) the idea is to raise money for those affected by the Kalamazoo shootings so contributions are appreciated. Maybe you'd like to solicit pledges from your coworkers for each mile you run Wednesday night. The group will cheer you on and you can help make a difference.
