Battle Creek’s Kellogg’s Is Making Eggo Flavored Eggnog Booze This Year
As if we needed ANOTHER reason to spend the holidays getting tipsy off the ole' eggnog, Kellogg's just made a decision that I'm sure thousands of people will regret being excited about, at least the next morning.
Kellogg's teamed up with Sippin Cream to make a lethal combination of eggnog, booze, and Eggo waffles called Eggo Nog Sippin' Cream. Their website features a search so interested drinkers can find it near them, and describes the holiday drink:
Eggo and Sugarlands Distilling Co. are spreading holiday cheers this season with Eggo Nog Appalachian Sippin’ Cream, an Eggo-inspired eggnog liqueur that pairs perfectly with Eggo® Thick & Fluffy waffles to help grownups L’eggo during the most chaotic time of the year: The holidays. Inspired by the classic holiday drink, Eggo Nog’s churned cream, rum, cinnamon and nutmeg flavors will have you feeling toasty all winter long.
Sugarlands Distillery is out of Tennessee, so I don't know who reached out to Kellogg's about making this combination, but I'm sure those who enjoy holiday drinks are gonna be adding it to the list of things to grab to make White Russians and other festive adult beverages.
Staying Local Through The Split
The North America Cereal Co. and Plant Co. are still headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan. It was the Global Snacking Co., which will hold multiple locations in Battle Creek and Chicago, Illinois, with its corporate headquarters being moved to Chicago.
So the partnership with Sugarlands still has a footprint in Southwest Michigan, and we can most likely expect to see all sorts of new products in the future, with the goal of the split being to utilize the three major food types produced by the company.
