KZoo Bourbon Fest Coming Back for a Third Year
Having just gotten through the Holidays, I think we could all use a drink, or two. But if you're patient, then you might want to wait for February 3rd, when KZOO Bourbon Fest comes back for its third year.
It's gonna be another good time with some of the best Bourbons from the state, and country, all under one roof for the day.
Personally, bourbon is my drink of choice. A good Old Fashioned is hard to beat in any bar, especially when it's done with some high quality bourbon. With a few exceptions, it's the ACTUAL bar I set for any bar I walk into that specializes in mixed drinks and cocktails.
So when I found out about this event, I knew I had to be ready for it. Not to mention, February in Michigan is the PERFECT time to serve up something like this, to warm your insides. And ladies, it's a little more than a week before Valentine's Day, so if you're thinking of getting me something... this is it.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which, again, is Feb. 3rd at The Foundry in downtown Kalamazoo. It has brought bourbon lovers from all across the country to Kalamazoo each February for the past three years. More than 100 bottles of whiskey and bourbon will be available for tasting, and purchasing.
Each ticket comes with its own souvenir tasting glass, and tasting tickets. And don't worry, pours are only a half ounce, so enough to get the taste, but not enough to get you hammered after just a few tastings.
They'll also have beer and other drink pours, as well as some food from Maria's Food Trucks to put something on your stomach. And what's a Bourbon Fest without live music. Cash O'Reilly will be performing live throughout the day.
But maybe the best part of this is the benefit. All proceeds from the event will go toward Friends of the River, a non-profit organization committed to improving water quality, access, and awareness on the Rivers in Michigan.
