Beer Can Chicken. Beer Cheese Soup. BratsRibs. Beer has definitely made its mark on more than the beverage section of your favorite restaurant's menu. If you've ever wanted to expand your own culinary prowess and learn how to incorporate Kalamazoo's favorite drink in to your favorite entrees and appetizers, I've got the event for you! The Kalamazoo Public Library has teamed up with Kalamazoo Valley Community College for a cooking demonstration with Chef Cory Barrett and Brewery Operations Manager/Brewer Jeff Sobolewski. Learn to prepare deliciously different appetizers starring America's favorite amber libation. There will also be discussions about beer pairing, specifically with each appetizer made, and a Q&A.

The Cooking with Beer class is Saturday, January 26th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the KVCC Culinary & Allied Health Building Classroom. Space is limited. Registration is required. Participants must be 21 years-of-age or older. Tickets go on sale January 12th. For tickets and more information, click here.
