Giant Flag Flown on Mackinac Bridge To Celebrate America on Independence Day
Showing Michigan's pride in being the 26th state of the union, a gargantuan flag was hoisted on the Mackinac Bridge on July 4.
Just as they did on Memorial Day, Mackinac Bridge Authority raised Old Glory on Mighty Mac. The 30 x 60 foot flag was first raised on Memorial Day and will be displayed (weather permitting) on Memorial Day, Flag Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
