Manistee Woman Discovered THIS 37-Pound Alien Meteorite While Digging Her Garden
I am a total science, nerd and love it when someone can make a cool discovery that looks out of this world. A woman named Annie Callahan, who is originally from Vicksburg, moved up to Manistee and was recently taking part in a dig when she ran into a giant stone in her yard.
After a while of digging, she finally got it up and pulled out what seemed to be an alien-like meteorite from another dimension. The stone had all sorts of exterior fossil engraving on it and was glossy with a bluish-greenish hue. I asked her how she discovered it in the first place and she told me what happened:

I have a small pond and I had a rock pile about 5 feet high that contained a waterfall. It was at the very bottom as I had to dig and dig to get it out. All that hard work with a surprise with the last rock. So worth it.
Here's What The Stone Is ACTUALLY
After taking a closer look at the stone, the Stone may be an Omarolluk. This occurs when finding grain metamorphosed siltstone weathers out.
Another person in the post commented that in the pictures below, you can see in the circles the remnants of Cyanobacteria colonies. While these are gone from most Omar’s found on beaches due to constant tumbling and erosion, many are found buried like this one, showing much more limited erosion.
Glaciers spread them across central Canada, and into the northern US, but something about this Stone seems very alien, so now the out-of-this-world discovery may remain as a display piece for her.
