I'm one of the lucky ones so far.  Over the holidays, my wife, my oldest son an I were the only members of our family of 16 to not get the flu.  In fact, this was the first year that people were absent from Christmas Eve due to the flu.  I know I'm not out of the woods yet and probably jinxed it but I may be fighting a losing battle considering how the flu has ravaged the State of Michigan.

According to an article on upnorthlive.com, a new report by the thermometer Company Kinsa stated that the flu is hitting Michigan harder than most. The report estimated that Michigan is the second sickest state in the U.S. with nearly 7% of people experiencing flu-like symptoms.  Nationally, that number is about 5%.  So just because people around you are passed it and you haven't gotten it, doesn't mean you won't get it.
