Michigan Hockey One Win Away From National Championship Game
The University of Michigan fell short of a national championship in Basketball earlier this week. The school may have another chance at a title as the men's hockey team is in the Frozen Four.
According to the story from M-Live, the Wolverines will face fellow Big Ten members Notre Dame in one of the semifinal games in St. Paul, Minnesota tonight (April 5th).
Notre Dame won the Big Ten regular season and conference tournament title joining the league this year. They were a member of the Hockey East conference over the last four years.
Both teams will go at it on ESPN 2 tonight at 9:30 p.m. The winner will advance to the national championship game against the winner of the other semifinal game between Ohio State and Minnesota-Duluth. That game will be at 6 p.m.
The national championship game will be played in St. Paul on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. This is the farthest that Michigan has advanced since 2011 when they lost in the title game.
Could we see an all Big Ten Final? We will see later tonight.
