Yesterday I found out about an old dinosaur amusement park that existed just east of Michigan International Speedway on US 12 near Onstead.  My wife read about this place online, and because neither of us have heard of it we decided to go find it.

It was called Prehistoric Forest and it featured a bunch of fiberglass dinosaurs.  As you can see in the photo, a couple of them are still there. This place looked like it used to be a fun place to visit.  It closed in 2002 and I never knew it existed.

I didn't know that this area, the Irish Hills, had so many one time tourist traps. Here's a great article on M-live that gives you an idea what was all there.

A nice area that now that I see what was there, I wish I had a chance to visit these places when they were still open.
