These Are The Most Dangerous Hills To Snow Sled In Kalamazoo
As we get ready for the winter season, the one thing above all else we can look forward to is the sledding days we're gonna get. You really never get too old to enjoy sledding, and as adults, it kind of makes up for having to drive around in the stuff. For the families, obviously, you'll want to go to some nice sledding hills and fully enjoy the season and safety.
But what about us thrill seekers who have no consideration for our personal well-being? Surely there have to be some hills that offer some thrill, excitement, and possibly a little bit of danger, right?
Of course, there is. Let's not forget about the undisputed champ when it comes to dangerous hills though, as we look at some extreme hills in the Kalamazoo area to risk life and limb this winter:
The King of Dangerous Hills
The Davis Street hill is still the king of dangerous hills to sled in the winter. The hill starts off at a nice angle and slope, but about halfway down, the hill shoots out straight. Anyone sledding would easily take over a 30-foot plunge to the ground, which doesn't sound like fun at all. In fact, that kind of drop could kill you.
Parking Lot Fun
The hill overlooking Claymoor Dr right behind the Cottage Inn and Big Burrito on KL Ave is pretty extreme considering it is pretty steep and leads right into a trash can or parking lot. You're either running into steel or risking getting hit by a car.
Branch Bumps
Literally, any steep hill within Asylum Lake would be awesome if it weren't for all the giant tree stumps and fallen trees, but if you like bumps in your ride down, many of the steep hills here won't fail to give you a dangerous and exciting ride.
