This is right up my address!  When I was 13 years old my dad relented after world-class begging and bought me a dirt bike.  It was a Honda XR 75 and I beat the living crap out of it and fell in love with riding on the dirt.  When I got older and moved to the street, there were several times when circumstances (mostly inattentive drivers) when I could have lost my life.  But because of learning on the dirt, I was able to navigate my way through safely and I thanked him often for spoiling me with a motorcycle at that time in my life.  To this day I would much rather ride the trails than the street.

This weekend, if you're lucky enough to have an off-road vehicle, you get to hit the trails for free.  According to the DNR on michigan.gov, riders will not need an ORV license or trail permit to access nearly 3,700 miles of off-road trails.  Get more information by clicking HERE.
