Help us name our new K9! Officer Wentworth selected his new partner from a kennel in Western Pennsylvania. The pup is a Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix that was born December 2018 in Hungary. They’ll be heading back to Michigan soon for several weeks of intense training. Before that occurs, we need to get this dog a name......and we need YOUR help! Ofc. Wentworth has whittled down to; Hugo, Riggs, or Dante. Vote for one of the three and we’ll announce the winning name Sunday evening!

Cast you vote on their social media page by clicking here and leaving the name you want to vote for in the comments. The three name choices are as follows; Hugo, Riggs or Dante. The winning name will be annouced on their social media page Sunday evening.

News of the new K-9 officer comes about three months after the sudden loss of Portage Public Safety K-9 officer Zorro who was also partnered with Officer Wentworth.
