Red Wings broadcaster, Mickey Redmond was a part of a celebrity roast for charity.  The event is set to be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit this Friday.

According to Red Wings blog The Malik Report,  the celebrity roast will air on Fox Sports Detroit on Saturday, September 27th. It will air before and after the Red Wings preseason game against the Maple Leafs.

The roast of Mickey Redmond took place on September 7th at Motor City Casino and featured names like  Mike Babcock, Scotty Bowman, John Davidson, Marcel Dionne and more.  Long time hockey announcer, Mike "Doc" Emrick was the host of the event.

The roast was a benefit for the Jamie Daniels Foundation.  The foundation was started in memory of Jamie Daniels son of Red Wings broadcaster, Ken Daniels.
