Astrid Lindgren's classic character, Pippi Longstocking, is bringing joy, whimsy, and imagination to the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre's Parish Theatre now through Saturday, May 25th. Follow the precocious Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking and her friends Annika and Tommy while they fend off burglars, wrestle with strongmen, and sail away on pirate ships. With a message about the importance of curiosity and kindness, this is a show the whole family will enjoy. Our sensory needs community can enjoy a Sensory-Friendly Performance of the show, Saturday, May 25th at 10:00am, wherein the theatre does not go to full black, loud noises have been omitted, and there is space enough to move around. Call the Box Office (269-343-1313) and ask for the Sensory-Friendly Performance by name. Tickets for that show will not be available to purchase through the website.
