According to a recent article from MLive, the celebration of life ceremony to honor Bob Ketteman, owner of the six Taco Bob locations in Kalamazoo and surrounding areas, will be postponed until summer. The Ketteman family issued a statement citing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the postponement, and said, quote, “It is with an abundance of caution and concern for the well being of our extended Taco Bob family that we make this decision,” and they want to make the celebration a “worry-free and safe event."

"Taco Bob" Ketteman passed away March 1st at the age of 60. A man with a love for family, community, and tacos, Ketteman opened his first Taco Bob's location in Kalamazoo in 1988. As popularity grew over the next 30 years, he would open five additional locations in Portage, Vicksburg, and Mattawan. He is survived by his wife and four children.
