We have yet to see any significant snow but you know it will be here soon. As the snow returns we will see plows on the roads. Something new to most trucks this season will be green lights.

An interesting event is coming to West Michigan as MDOT in Plainwell will host the 28th Midwest Michigan Snowplow Roadeo on October 11th.

Sadly winter will be here before you know it. As the snow falls the plows will be out. If you are looking for extra work this winter? Michigan Department of Transportation is looking to hire temp maintenance workers in Southwest Michigan.

Great news if travel M-6 as part of your daily commute; MDOT is planning to open the eastbound side of M-6, sometime today!

As we get ready for the upcoming holiday weekend, I-94 will have nighttime lane closures west of US-131.

As they usually do for long holiday weekends,  Michigan Department of Transportation is removing lane restrictions for many of their work projects across the state this holiday weekend.

Beginning Saturday, July 16th,  Motorist should be watching for Adopt A Highway volunteers as they head back to the roadways to pick up liter.

So what do you do with an old historic bridge when its usefulness has been exhausted? SImple. Move it. That's what the Michigan Department of Transportation plans to do with the M-86 bridge over the Prairie River in Centreville. And it won't be the first time it's been done...
