See 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' and 'The Breakfast Club' at the Capri Drive-In this weekend and experience the awesome 80s on the big screen.

"Life moves pretty fast." Hard to believe it's been 34 years since Ferris Bueller played hooky and took a day off in 1986. (I heard from my sister's boyfriend's cousin's ex-mother in law's hairstylist that he had cancer.) It was a year earlier in '85 that a geek, a jock, a princess, a criminal and a basket case sat through detention on a Saturday morning at Shermer High School.

If there's one good thing quarantine has given us, it's a resurgence of great movies from back in the day and drive-in movie theaters. Last week, Jurassic Park was #1 at the weekend box office, 27 years after its first release. This week you can teach your kids the life lessons of being who you are, standing up to authority and whatever else you learned as a kids watching these movies growing up. You can even tie them in to current events as Governor Whitmer has been handing out stay at home days like Principal Vernon and the frustration level for some has peaked at Cameron vs Ferrari. So, enjoy a couple of 80s movies and a trip back in time at the drive in movies this weekend because, "if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
