Streamingobserver.com did a survey of the most popular holiday movie in every state. Some films might be up for date, for example a lot of people don't consider Die Hard a Christmas movie. They're wrong, of course. If Gremlins can be considered a Christmas movie instead of a horror movie (#1 in Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas), or Home Alone can be considered fine holiday fun instead of a movie about child neglect (#1 in Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, North Dakota, Ohio, and Illinois), then Die Hard certainly can be a Christmas movie. But I digress...

The #1 Christmas movie in Michigan is Irving Berlin's 1942 classic Holiday Inn, starring Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Marjorie Reynolds. According to IMDB, Holiday Inn's synopsis is:

At an inn which is only open on holidays, a crooner and a hoofer vie for the affections of a beautiful up-and-coming performer.

A hoofer and a crooner? Must be 1942. But you have to admit, nothing says Christmas like Bing Crosby, amiright?
