Don't be scared by the brand new green strobe lights on public maintenance vehicles this winter.  The new lights are new this winter season and are implemented all across the state.

According to the Kent County Road Commission Website:

Public transportation agencies advocate the use of green lights because they:

  • Improve the visibility of authorized public agency trucks while working in the right of way
  • Differentiate a public agency’s vehicles from other private motorists and companies using amber lights

These new lights are a little confusing when you see them for the first time, but by the end of winter everyone in the state will be very used to them!
