College Football season begins this weekend and as the Wolverines and Fighting Irish get ready to play Saturday night in South Bend, earlier in the day the Michigan Marching band will perform in Stevensville.

According to the Harold-Paladium, the University of Michigan marching band will stop in Stevensville to perform at Lakeshore High School.

The event is free with donations being excepted for United Way of Southwest Michigan.   It will start at 12:30 p.m. in the Al Stockman Stadium with an open rehearsal.

The band will perform their pregame and halftime shows with the halftime show to begin at 2:45 p.m.

This will be the first time this year that the band's halftime show will be performed in front of the public. A chance to see the performance before they perform in South Bend.

The Michigan State Marching band made a similar appearance in Stevensville a couple years ago.
